Aluminium installation for commercial and industrial projects
Good glazing needs careful installation as well as accurate manufacture. Frame alignment, fixings, sealing and connections to the building all contribute to how the finished windows, doors and curtain walling perform.
We provide aluminium installation alongside in-house fabrication. Your team can resolve the details between the manufacturing order and the conditions on site directly with AW.
Plan the installation around your building
A new construction site and an occupied commercial building present different working conditions. We discuss access, delivery, lifting and the sequence of work with your team so manufacturing and site arrangements can be planned together.
For phased work or refurbishment, tell us which areas will remain in use and when access is available. Opening preparation, supporting construction and neighbouring finishes also need to be coordinated with the installation details.
Retrofit glazing and site recycling
Replacing existing glazing calls for a coordinated approach to the building already in use. AW undertakes retrofit window and door projects, planning the new aluminium glazing around existing openings, access and the agreed sequence of work.
We can recycle glass and aluminium removed from site as part of the work. Include this requirement in your enquiry so we can agree the materials, collection arrangements and recycling scope alongside installation.
Windows, doors and curtain walling coordinated on site
Our installation offer covers the architectural aluminium products we manufacture: windows, commercial entrance doors and curtain walling. Where they meet, the framing, drainage and finishes need to work as a complete arrangement.
We establish the division of work with your team, including access equipment, enabling works and interfaces handled by other trades. Completion information and handover requirements can then be included in the project scope.
Already have an installation team?
Choose supply-only if your contractor or glazing installer is managing the fitting. We provide the fabrication, with the product specification, delivery and information for your installers established before manufacture.

Questions about aluminium installation
Can work be phased in an occupied building?
Tell us which areas must remain in use, the available working hours and any restrictions on access. The sequence and extent of temporary closures need to be agreed with your project team; continuous operation cannot be assumed for every opening.
Are removal and making good included in every installation?
These responsibilities need to be stated in the agreed scope. For replacement work, identify existing glazing removal, temporary protection, adjoining finishes and any recycling requirement when requesting a quotation.
