Accreditations and independent verification

Choose an aluminium supplier with credentials you can review. Our quality, environmental and health and safety commitments are supported by certification, industry schemes and independent carbon verification.

Supporting your supplier assessment

From quality management to contractor health and safety, our credentials help your procurement team assess AW. Carbon reporting and verification provide additional information for environmental tenders. Each scheme has its own scope, explained below.

CHAS Standard

Health and safety assessment

AW Aluminium holds CHAS Standard accreditation. CHAS Standard includes a health and safety assessment aligned with Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), supporting contractor pre-qualification.

About CHAS Standard

ISO 9001

Quality management certified through NQA

Our ISO 9001 certification is through NQA. ISO 9001 concerns a company’s quality management system, including its approach to consistent processes, customer requirements and improvement.

Your procurement team can request our current certificate as part of its supplier assessment, alongside the stated activities, locations and validity. Product performance reports and project inspection requirements provide separate evidence for the work being supplied.

About ISO 9001

ISO 14001

Environmental management certified through NQA

Our ISO 14001 certification is through NQA. ISO 14001 provides a framework for an environmental management system and the organisation’s approach to managing its environmental responsibilities.

This company-level framework sits alongside our carbon reporting and the material choices available for projects. Tell us about environmental procurement requirements so we can discuss the information available for your proposed systems and materials.

The right evidence at each stage

Supplier approval, product specification and site planning each need different information. This overview helps your project team identify the evidence required for tender, installation and handover.

InformationWhat your project team should check
Company certificationThe certified company name, activities, locations, issuing body and validity period. Match the scope to the fabrication or installation work being commissioned.
System and product performanceThe exact range, dimensions, glazing and hardware covered by the supporting evidence, including any specified thermal, acoustic, weather or security requirements.
Site and installation informationThe project-specific documents requested by the principal contractor, together with access, sequencing and coordination requirements.
Environmental informationThe reporting period and boundaries of company information, plus the applicable product and material details for any requested environmental declaration.

Helping your tender team assess AW

Send your supplier questionnaire, document schedule and tender deadline with the enquiry. We can then identify the current company certificates and project information relevant to the work being procured.

Check the certificate itself for its activities, locations and validity. Published downloads are made available only once the document and scope have been reviewed.

Secured by Design and product performance

Company certification describes aspects of the business and its management systems. Thermal, acoustic, weather and security requirements need supporting information for the actual product and configuration being supplied.

We can work to Secured by Design requirements, subject to the chosen window or door configuration and its supporting certification. Include the security brief with your enquiry so we can confirm the available products and evidence for your project.
